A Self-Inking Stamp You Set Up Yourself
The Shiny 9S420 is a self-inking printing kit for five lines of custom text, supplied on a hang-sell blistercard and distributed in Australia by Staedtler.
Letters from the 4mm text rubber are placed onto the fixed ribbed plate on the printing stamp using the included tweezers. Once the layout is right, the stamp inks itself between impressions, so there is no separate pad to press on at the desk. Staedtler's catalogue lists 256 characters on the rubber, which covers a typical name, address and contact block.
Typical jobs are a business return address, a "with compliments" line, a bank deposit reference or a property or asset label. Because the type can be reset, the same stamp can follow a move of office or a change of phone number.
Staedtler state that the self-inking kits come pre-inked and can be refilled with Shiny supreme inks. Need dates as well? The 9S421 is the same kit with a dater.
