An Opaque White Chisel Marker For Lettering On Black
Staedtler 8325-0 is the white member of the 8325 metallic calligraphy range, supplied as a box of ten.
White ink is what lettering artists use when the paper is dark: black card menus drawn in a chalkboard style, silhouettes on kraft, snow on a navy Christmas card, or clean highlights over a finished coloured piece. Staedtler rate the 8325 ink as opaque over dark papers and card, and the barrel of this colour is printed white calligraphy.
The chisel tip is approx. 2.8 mm across, per Staedtler, so a slanted hold gives the thick and thin rhythm of italic and blackletter styles without a dip pen. It needs no shaking or pumping. On glass and mirrors the ink lifts off with a damp cloth, handy for short-term notes on a bathroom mirror or a cafe window.
