Bring Firm FIMO Back To A Workable Softness
FIMO Mix Quick 8026 is a 100 g block of extra-soft modelling clay made to be kneaded into firm FIMO, so stiff clay softens faster and becomes easier to shape.
The pack shows the mixing ratio: two thirds FIMO to a maximum of one third Mix Quick. Work the two together by hand until the texture is even, then model as normal. The block itself is white, as the pack photo shows.
Mix Quick is oven-hardening like FIMO, and the pack prints 110°C for 30 minutes. It also carries crossed-out icons for microwave use and air drying, so finished pieces belong in a conventional oven.
Staedtler state it is made in Germany. It is a handy standby for anyone whose FIMO has firmed up on the shelf, and for makers who simply prefer a softer clay when blending colours.
