Staedtler 61 110 C6 is a tradition sketching set: six graphite drawing pencils in 6B, 4B, 2B, B, HB and 2H, plus a Staedtler metal sharpener and a Mars plastic eraser.
The tradition 110 is the red and black striped pencil Staedtler describe as high quality for writing, drawing and sketching. They credit a special lead recipe and super-bonded construction for a pencil they call unbelievably break-resistant.
The six grades in this box give a working spread for beginners: 2H for light construction lines, HB and B for general drawing, and 2B to 6B for shading and dark accents. The box adds a metal sharpener marked for graphite and a Mars plastic eraser, so nothing else is needed to start.
Staedtler state the tradition pencil is made in Germany. For more grades, the tradition 110 C12-1 holds twelve.
