The Red Pen For Mark-Ups That Do Not Stay
Box of 10 Staedtler Lumocolor 311-2 superfine pens in red, the colour most people pick up to flag a mistake, circle a figure or mark a change on a sheet that will be wiped and used again.
Teachers correcting on a visualiser sheet, engineers marking up a plan in a plastic sleeve and lab staff noting a rejected sample all need a red that shows clearly but does not commit them. With an S line of roughly 0.4 mm, red annotations fit between printed lines without covering what is underneath.
Staedtler sell the 311 as a universal pen for almost all surfaces, suitable for overhead projection. Its water-soluble ink dries fast, and a damp cloth takes it back off film. Staedtler also point to high colour brilliancy, a PP barrel and cap for a long service life, a tip locked so it will not push back into the barrel, and automatic pressure equalisation so it will not leak on board aircraft.
Rather than binning an empty pen, refill it from Staedtler refill station 487 15. Staedtler state the 311 range is made in Germany.
Browse OHP pens, fine permanent markers, whiteboard markers and Staedtler for other ways to mark up.
