The Broadest Round Tip In The Pigment Liner Range
Staedtler 308 12-9 gives an approx. 1.2 mm black line, the widest of the round tips Staedtler list for the pigment liner, and you buy it as a box of 10.
Above 1.2 mm Staedtler switch to the C2 chisel tip, so this is the boldest round point you can get in the 308 family. Inkers use it for heavy panel borders and silhouettes, designers for thick rules on layouts and storyboards, and teachers for headings on charts that need to be read from the back of a room.
Staedtler rate this black pigment ink as lightfast and indelible, say it is waterproof on paper, and list it as acid free in their Australian catalogue. It erases on drafting film and stays put under a highlighter. Staedtler say it can be left uncapped for at least 12 hours. The long metal tip still follows a ruler, and pressure equalisation means no leaks when you fly.
