Staedtler 308 08-9 draws a black line of about 0.8 mm, and comes as a box of 10.
This is the width for lines that need to stand out: section cuts and building outlines on hand-drawn plans, the edge of a shape in a poster, or the heading row of a hand-ruled table. Staedtler also put a 0.8 mm pen in some of their black width sets, as the bold end of a fine-to-medium kit.
Like all black pigment liners, it uses ink Staedtler call indelible, lightfast, waterproof on paper and acid free, with no bleeding under a highlighter and erasability on drafting film. Leave it uncapped for at least 12 hours and it will not dry, according to Staedtler. The long metal tip is made for straight edges and the pen is pressure equalised for air travel.
