A 0.3 mm Black Liner For Everyday Drawing And Writing
Staedtler 308 03-9 is the 0.3 mm black pigment liner, supplied in Staedtler's box of 10.
0.3 mm is the all-rounder of the range: fine enough for hatching and inner detail, firm enough to carry an outline, and comfortable for handwriting in notebooks and on forms. Many illustrators keep it as the middle pen between a 0.1 for detail and a 0.5 or 0.8 for contours.
Staedtler state that this black ink is indelible and lightfast, waterproof once it is on paper, and that it does not bleed under a highlighter, so you can ink first and add marker or watercolour later. The catalogue lists it as acid free. The long metal tip runs cleanly along a ruler or stencil.
The black liners can be left uncapped for at least 12 hours, per Staedtler, and the pens are made in Germany with PP barrels and airplane-safe pressure equalisation.
