Every Jumbo Colour For The Art Room
Staedtler 243 NC24 is the 24-colour box of jumbo oil pastels, which Staedtler say is the full range of 24 brilliant colours in this thick 11 mm format.
With twenty-four shades, children can choose rather than mix. Magenta, lavender, violet, cobalt blue, sea green, light orange and golden ochre join the basics, plus van dyke brown and rose wood for trees, animals and hair. That variety suits group murals, posters and project covers.
Staedtler make the jumbo 243 for colouring large areas. Each round crayon is roughly 11 mm across and sits in a paper sleeve with a name field. Staedtler rate them especially break-resistant, list colouring and scraping as uses, and say almost any smooth surface will take them.
Teachers often pair a set like this with black card or scratch boards for scraping projects. For slimmer crayons and finer detail, look at the 8 mm 241 range.
