White Omnichrom Leads For Marking Dark Surfaces
Staedtler 218-0 is a tray of 12 white water-soluble leads that refill the Lumocolor non-permanent omnichrom 768 leadholder.
White is the lead to pick when the material is dark: black plastic, dark timber, metal, leather or stone. Staedtler make the omnichrom leads to mark opaquely on almost all surfaces, including dark and transparent ones, and that the lines can be removed from many smooth surfaces.
Each lead measures 70 mm long and roughly 3 mm across, per Staedtler. The 768 holder retracts its lead after use for protection, so a white holder can live in a toolbox or apron pocket between jobs.
Staedtler state Germany as the country of manufacture, and the tray matches the white 768N-0 holder. Red 218-2, yellow 218-1 and black 218-9 leads are sold too.
