B Degree Mars Carbon For Everyday Drawing
One tray of Staedtler Mars carbon 200-B: twelve 2 mm leads in the B degree, 130 mm long.
B sits one step softer than HB. It gives a confident dark line without the rapid wear of 2B or 4B, which makes it a practical all-rounder for freehand drawing, architectural sketches, signage layouts and annotating plans in a leadholder.
The leads measure roughly 2 mm across and fit the Mars technico 780 C and other standard 2 mm clutch holders. Staedtler list the Mars carbon range for paper and drawing card in seven degrees, and state the leads are made in Germany.
If your lines look too grey, step down to 2B. If they smear, move up to HB. Having two neighbouring grades on hand covers most drawing work.
Shop pencil leads, mechanical drawing pencils, drawing supplies and Staedtler.
