It lays down a rich, dark stroke with light pressure, which suits gesture drawing, quick figure studies, tonal sketches and loose layout roughs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStaedtler intend the Mars carbon lead for use on paper and on drawing card, with seven degrees on offer from 4B to 4H. Each 2B lead is about 2 mm across, so it slots into the Mars technico 780 C and other common 2 mm holders. Staedtler say the leads are made in Germany, and the tray label prints it too.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eExpect a soft grade to wear down and smudge faster than HB.
