Black Omnichrom Pencils For Marking Light Materials
A box of 12 Staedtler Lumocolor non-permanent omnichrom 108-9 pencils: black, water-soluble dry markers in a hexagonal wood case.
Black gives the most contrast on pale and see-through materials. Staedtler rate the omnichrom lead for opaque marks on almost any surface, naming paper, plastic, metal, glass, wood, leather and stone, so a black 108 handles labels on clear containers, notes on light timber and measurements on white board.
The lead is water-soluble rather than permanent. Marks wipe away from many smooth surfaces with a damp cloth (Staedtler list plastic, metal, lacquer and leather), they wash out of many textiles, and on paper they do not bleed through.
