Blue Wipe-Off Marking Pencils For Coding And Notes
Staedtler 108-3 is a box of 12 blue Lumocolor omnichrom pencils, a water-soluble dry marker that writes on glass, metal, plastic and paper.
Blue is the everyday colour for coding and annotation. It stands apart from black text on paper, shows clearly on white plastics and glass, and is a common choice when a second colour is needed on drawings, sample trays or stock.
Staedtler describe the 108 as marking opaquely on nearly every material, even dark or clear ones, with glass, metal, plastic, wood, stone, leather and paper all named. Because the lead dissolves in water, the marks come off many smooth surfaces with a damp wipe and wash out of many textiles.
The hexagonal wooden barrel will not roll off a bench, there is no ink reservoir to dry out, and Staedtler name the 510 25 and 512 002 sharpeners for a clean point. The lead is rated highly lightfast and Staedtler say it is made in Germany.
