All 24 Mars Lumograph Degrees In One Tin
Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100 G24 is a metal tin of 24 drawing pencils, one of every degree in the Lumograph range from soft 12B to hard 10H.
Having the whole scale to hand lets you match each mark to its job: H grades for faint layout lines and technical work, the middle grades for general drawing, and the B grades for shading all the way down to the darkest 12B. It suits art students, illustrators, architects and anyone working through value studies.
Staedtler size the lead to the degree: roughly 2.0 mm for 2B to 10H, about 2.5 mm for 5B to 3B, about 3.6 mm for 11B to 6B and about 4.5 mm for 12B. They describe finely graded graphite with smooth tonal transitions and a subtle metallic lustre, strokes that reproduce evenly and lead that resists breaking.
Degree swatches printed along the base of the lid show what is inside at a glance. Staedtler state the Lumograph is made in Germany, and their suggested companions are the 511 001 tub or 510 10 metal sharpeners plus a Mars plastic 526 50.
