Spirax 56054 is the No. 566A stenographers shorthand note pad, 225 x 152mm with 200 pages ruled at 7mm and a red rule down the centre, top opening on a single white spiral.
The red centre rule splits each page into two narrow columns. Writing down one column and then the other keeps lines short, which suits shorthand and dictation. The same layout works well for minutes, with discussion on one side and actions on the other, or for questions and answers in an interview.
Opening from the top keeps the spiral out of the way of either hand. ACCO describe quality covers and say the white spiral lets the pad lie flat. The cover has Date from and to lines for marking the period each pad covers, handy when used pads are kept as a record.
