Olympic D144 is an A4 exercise book of 48 pages ruled in 14mm dotted thirds with a red margin, and you get 20 books in the pack.
Dotted thirds give a young writer three zones on every line. Between each pair of solid lines, two dotted guides mark where the middle of a letter sits, how high tall letters climb and how low tails drop, which is exactly what the Olympic ruling artwork for this code shows. At 14mm the bands are narrower than the 18mm version, so this book usually follows on once a child has control of letter shapes and is ready to write a little smaller. Olympic call it ideal for early years handwriting practice and structured writing.
The green cover with handprint artwork prints 14mm Dotted Thirds and REF D144, plus a Name, Subject, Year and School panel. Book lists may still quote the older Tudor code 105074, which Olympic have replaced with 197717.
