The Olympic No. 401 cafe docket book holds 100 numbered dockets in a narrow 70 x 125mm format that sits comfortably in one hand while the other holds a pen.
Front of house staff jot the time, table, number of persons, server and amount across the top, then list the order in the main panel with a total at the foot. The sample docket printed on the cover shows the same number, 01, on both the top strip and the lower section, so the two parts carry a matching reference.
Hamelin Brands, the owner of Olympic, say the dockets are sequentially numbered for filing and accounting, which makes a missing order or an unpaid table easy to spot at close. Olympic do not list this book as carbon or carbonless, so plan on one written copy per order.
