A Big Picture Space With Beginner Writing Lines
Olympic 140845, cover ref P525, is a 24 page project book at 335 x 240mm where the upper two thirds of every page is blank and the lower third carries 18mm dotted thirds ruling, supplied in packs of 10.
Children in the first years of school usually draw more than they write, and a project page should reflect that. Here the drawing gets most of the sheet, and the writing strip underneath uses the wide 18mm ruling that suits early hands still learning letter size. The Olympic ruling illustration for P525 shows solid lines with a pair of dotted guides inside each space, so a caption of a word or two can be formed with the correct proportions.
Hamelin Brands give the paper as 90gsm and the binding as stapled. A 335 x 240mm page is roomy enough for crayon, paint sticks and pasted photos from home, and the possum cover with its blue band makes the P525 book easy to tell apart from the 14mm and 8mm versions in the same format.
More options sit in educational writing books, with wax crayons and lead pencils for filling the pages, and the complete Olympic collection.
