A 35 x 14 x 14cm black tank in which two lifelike jellyfish drift through lit water, driven by a near-silent motor. 18 LEDs, five light modes, 4 hour auto shut-off.
Slow, rhythmic and predictable - which is the point. A child watching something move without any sudden change gets a visual anchor to settle against, and unlike most sensory lights this one has a fixed-colour mode as well as a phasing sequence. It does not flash, which makes it the option to reach for where the infinity mirror is not appropriate.
Two features that matter more than they sound: the motor is quiet, so it can run during quiet work; and it shuts itself off after four hours, so nobody has to remember it at three o'clock on a Friday.
