Oven-Bake Clay That Finishes Like Leather
FIMO leather-effect 8010-229 is a 57 g standard block of oven-bake modelling clay in berry, a rich pink shade, that takes on a leather-like surface and feel once it has been hardened.
Staedtler describe the clay as soft and smooth, scored into 8 portions so colours can be measured and blended. Once baked (the pack prints 130°C and 30 minutes), thin pieces stay bendable and can be braided or stitched, which opens up techniques that ordinary hardened clay will not allow.
That makes berry a good fit for earrings, bag charms, key fobs, tassels, bookmarks and small home deco pieces. Staedtler list FIMO soft, effect and professional as compatible clays, so berry details can share a bake with them.
The leather-effect range runs to 12 colours, and it is produced in Germany, according to Staedtler.
