The supplier states the rug is approximately 8mm thick. The grid helps students find their own space for mat time, group work or story sessions, and Elizabeth Richards suggests it for early childhood centres, primary classrooms and break-out spaces.

The grid lends itself to roll call, sorting, turn-taking and floor games, according to the supplier. Elizabeth Richards recommends pairing the rug with a non-slip underlay to extend its life and help prevent slippage or buckling. The supplier also suggests vacuuming the rug shortly after opening to remove dust from transit.

Colours on screen may differ slightly from the rug in person, as the supplier notes.
