Stack, sort, lace and count with giant geo pegs
EDX Education Geo Pegs and Peg Board, supplier code 39492, is a set of 36 stackable giant pegs in 6 bright colours and 3 shapes with a 21cm square base board and 3 laces.
EDX designs each peg with a hole through the bottom, so the same pegs can be threaded onto the laces for lacing activities as well as pushed into the board. The three shapes and six colours give children plenty to sort and pattern. EDX lists the learning focus as fine motor skills, patterning and sequencing, counting and sorting, addition and subtraction, and creative design.
One set covers several activities, from free building on the board to threading a pattern on a lace. Teachers can set a colour or shape sequence for a child to copy, or use the pegs as counters for simple sums. The stackable pegs also let children build upwards.
The pegs, board and laces work together, so the whole set can live in one tub on the shelf. Explore more from the EDX Education range, other maths equipment, early learning sensory resources and the wider educational supplies catalogue.
