Soft Watercolour Control in a Single Pencil
The Derwent Watercolour Pencil in Orange Chrome gives you the precision of a pencil and the expressive flow of watercolour in one tool.
Watercolour pencils suit artists who want complete control over their work. The soft, smooth 3.5mm water-soluble core blends beautifully when activated with water, creating gentle colour flows that you can lift and rework once dry - making them ideal for subtle, layered paintings where Inktense would feel too intense. The hexagonal Californian incense cedar barrel feels secure in the hand and sharpens cleanly.
Use them dry for detailed linework, or wet a brush and draw across the laid colour to open up washes. Because watercolour pigment is not permanent once dry, you can re-wet and reposition it, giving you a forgiving medium well suited to mixed media and illustration work.
This box of 6 Orange Chrome pencils keeps a favourite studio colour stocked and ready. A reliable choice for artists, teachers, and design students who value consistency across a body of work.
