Derwent Inktense Pencils are a water-soluble pencil that can be used dry or activated with water to produce vibrant, ink-like colour. Once dry, the colour fixes permanently, making these pencils suitable for use on fabric including silk and cotton, as well as paper.

The Madder Brown shade (colour reference 1920) comes in a box of 6 pencils. Each pencil features a round barrel with colour dip end and metallic blue trim. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, allowing adjacent colours to be placed cleanly side by side.
