Derwent Inktense Pencils deliver vibrant, ink-like colour in a water-soluble format. Use them dry for smooth laydown, or activate with water to produce intense, fixed colour that resists reactivation once dry - making them suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton as well as paper.
The Thistle shade (colour code 0720) comes in a box of 6 pencils. Each pencil features a round barrel with colour dip end and metallic blue trim, a large colour strip for broad gestures, and a firm lead that behaves more like a pen than a traditional pencil. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, allowing placement next to adjacent colours without unwanted spreading.
