Zart Handmade Watercolour Paper Round 15cm, supplier code PA707, is a pack of 10 round 300gsm sheets made from 100% recycled cotton by The Creative School Supply Company.
The supplier describes the sheets as unsized, hand pressed and sun dried, with a natural irregular surface and a soft deckle edge. The paper is off-white with a rough tooth. Made from cotton, it is durable and highly absorbent, which suits watercolour, gouache and ink as well as mixed media, collage and paper crafts. It can also be stitched into.
The round shape gives students a ready made format for mandalas, planets and pattern studies. The paper takes drawing too, though the supplier says it suits larger media such as pastels, crayons, oil pastels and Slicks. Its rough absorbent texture does not suit markers or fine pencils.
