The BMX SolidSafe 5K carries 5000mAh of charge in a pocket sized magnetic body, with Qi2 wireless charging on one face and a USB C port on the edge.
A small power bank has to be easy to find and easy to trust. The SolidSafe 5K uses semi solid state cells, which BMX describes as holding significantly less liquid electrolyte than conventional lithium ion. The orange finish makes the pack quick to pick out of a work bag, and a full colour display reports the exact percentage remaining and the live wattage going out, so there is no guessing from a row of indicator dots.
Two devices can draw at once, one over USB C at up to 20W and one on the Qi2 pad, and the pack refills through the same port at up to 15W. The lanyard doubles as a 60W USB C cable, which removes the usual problem of arriving with the bank and without a cord. At 5000mAh it is sized for a phone top up that fits in a pocket rather than a full day of heavy use.
