What Avery claims about removal, and what they do not. Their published wording on this page is that the label adheres securely and can be easily removed when needed. Beyond that they are silent: this code's page carries no claim that the label can be repositioned, reapplied or reused, no time limit on how long it stays removable, and no temperature, freezer or weather rating.

On the Avery code. Our listing calls this L7162REV. Avery's own page publishes the software code as L7162, with no REV suffix, in the specification table and again in the page description - and every sibling code in this range does carry REV. We have used Avery's published value and flagged the difference rather than quietly correcting it either way.

What Avery says it is for. Perfect for temporary identification.

Avery's published feature bullets for this code.

• Labels adhere securely to any smooth surface and can be easily removed when needed.
• Jam-Free reliability for trouble free printing on Laser printers, saving time and minimising wastage.
• Customise your labels with our free and easy-to-use template software; Avery Design and Print.
• Labels peel off easily when required, enabling you to update information easily or use the item again.

A correction. Our own listing for this code claimed that Avery's code for this sheet carries a REV suffix, that it is a shallower version of another label family at the same width and that it is for folder and file marking. Avery publishes none of it, so it has been removed.

Avery publishes no time limit on removability, no temperature or weather rating and no list of surfaces beyond their own wording. Where they are silent, so are we.

It sits in our removable label range, alongside our Avery labels category, label supplies and the rest of Avery.
