The step almost everyone skips is dwell. Disinfectants are validated over a stated contact time, and a surface sprayed and immediately dried has been cleaned rather than disinfected. Leave it wet for the time on the label. Clean visible soil first, since dirt shields organisms from the chemical entirely. Check surface compatibility before standardising a site.
